International Standard Study Program

The Physics Education Study Program at Mulawarman University has successfully received International Accreditation from the ASIIN Institute (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik) which is a credible international accreditation agency recognized by the Indonesian government through the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture Decree Number 83/P/2020. ASIIN comes from Germany for engineering, mathematics and science, agriculture, and biology disciplines. This achievement is inseparable from the preparation and experience in preparing study programs to participate in international accreditation.

During the visitation, there were six ASIIN assessors present. They were Prof. Dr. Thomas Trefzger, Dr. Angela Fosel, Prof. Dr. Kerstin Kremer, Rainer Arnold Dipl. Phys, Medina Andini, and Dwika Sarnia Putri. The assessment is seen from various aspects such as students, education management, facilities, etc. During the visitation, interviews were also conducted with several lecturers and visits to laboratories in the faculty.

ASIIN international accreditation is an Outcome Based Accreditation, and the important thing that must be shown is that the program has implemented Outcome Based Education (OBE) by showing an evaluation of the achievement of program outcomes and the institution shows its commitment in facilitating the implementation of OBE.
